KILOMÈTRE LANCÉ
St. Moritz has a rich automotive history. In 1929 and 1930, a kilometer race was held on the so-called Shell Street during the St. Moritz Automobile Week. In September 2021, the race celebrated a revival — on the runway of the Engadin Airport near St. Moritz. The expanse of the valley almost resembles the salt lake of Bonneville in the U.S. state of Utah. But this image is also a portrait of design: the streamlined Abarth reads less like a car and more like an object — a rolling sculpture shaped by speed. Every curve follows function, every surface is reduced to what airflow demands.
