PALM DRIVE

Published in Car Guys (2020), Fabrizio D’Aloisio’s book on the culture of owning a classic car, this photograph was made from the passenger seat of a Lamborghini Countach (1989) as it glides through Monte Carlo. Palms cast long shadows across the road while the city’s skyline shimmers in the distance — a Mediterranean stage set for speed, style, and a particular kind of confidence. More atmosphere than action, the image is less about the car as an object than the sensation of being inside its myth: heat, glamour, and the quiet thrill of arriving.
